Shapa Missions


Your personalized Shapa program includes daily missions. These missions are actions you can do daily to focus on healthy habits that span all areas of everyday life. Whether focusing on sleep, nighttime snacking, or no reaching for the sweets when bored just to name a few, Shapa’s missions are designed to help you build new habits and behaviors to drive you towards your personal goals.

Personalized to you

Shapa selects missions for you based on your responses to the questionnaire when you first start with Shapa. Each day you can let Shapa know if you did your missions for the day or not. This helps Shapa learn more about you – what activities engage you and where do you see the most impact towards your goals. Missions allow you to focus on the opportunities within your daily life where seemingly small changes can lead to big results in your health and wellness.

Habit formation takes time

Habits take time to form and effort to maintain. Shapa works to keep things engaging and meaningful for you. Your Shapa missions will vary in duration. You may have a one day or some that you’ll be working on daily for 14 or 28 days long. Remember, repetition is key to building habits and keeping that foundation stable. Shapa will help you keep that foundation stable by recommending missions that build on your past successes.

Small yet mighty

Some missions may seem like relatively small daily actions, that’s intentional. When we do something really ‘hard’ we often overcompensate for it afterwards. For example, “I went for a run and burned 100 calories per my fitness device therefore I can eat a cupcake as reward.” But that cupcake may be 300 calories and your body doesn’t use calories in that transactional of a way.

Let’s talk commitment

Research shows that small reminders can help with habit formation, such as blocking time on our calendars. With Shapa, you can schedule your missions right onto your calendar. This helps with follow through and makes sure that you are able to successfully complete your missions when it makes sense for you during your everyday.

Be a part of the community

It can be comforting to know that others are working on the same activities and towards the same goals as you. Focusing on your health and weight goals does not have to be a solo journey. On each Shapa mission in your app you’ll see a live tally of all the other members in the Shapa community who are working on that particular mission, right along side you. Hopefully seeing others working on that mission will give you the motivation and nudge you need, when you need it. Some things are just better with company!

Two a day (most days)

You have enough going on in your daily life to worry about a bunch of rules for things you’re suppose to be doing, or not doing. Shapa gives you two missions per day (some times you’ll have one mission to focus on if it’s a longer multi-day mission). You can focus your attention and energy on these tasks. Focusing on these daily missions can serve as a commitment to your daily health and wellness goals.
