Mother’s Day: Simple & Easy Self Care Guide

Happy Mother’s Day to all of the incredible mom’s out there! We know that being a mom is a full-time job. Mom’s are always putting the needs of others before themselves. In order to continue being the best mom, it’s okay to take some time and make sure you’re feeling your best. We understand that as a mom, you don’t exactly have extra time, but we cannot stress enough the importance of a little self-care! That is why we created this simple & easy self-care guide:

Write it out
Buy yourself a journal. Not just a boring lined paper notebook, but a journal that gets you excited to write in. One that is just for you. At the end of the day, you might find that you are dealing with everyone else’s problems, but you haven’t had time to talk about yours. Write anything and everything. Even if it is only for 5 minutes. It helps!

Make plans with yourself
Sometimes it is nice just to be alone. Think of it as recharging your battery. Make plans with yourself by writing it in your calendar or even scheduling it out a few days in advance.

Ditch social media for a day
It is so easy to let social media get you down. Everyone is posting the best part of their life, and it is easy to feel like you are not doing enough. But you are enough! Instead of scrolling through your social media “friends” call an old friend or family member.

Plan to meet a friend for a walk & talk
Friends are great and we all need them in our life. They are worth the effort. Find time to meet with a close friend for a walk and catch up!

Spend a little extra on yourself
You deserve it. Spend a little extra for some self-care. Get your nails done, massage, or go out to dinner. We can’t emphasize enough, you deserve it!
